Full Ceramic Pro Coating Package on a British Grand Tourer in West Valley City

Aston Martin paint is exceptional from the factory — deep, rich color with a gloss that's hard to replicate. It's also expensive to maintain and repair. When this Aston Martin owner brought his car to Tint Citi Utah, his goal was straightforward: lock in that factory finish and protect it for years without constant detailing.

The project was a full Ceramic Pro coating package — our most comprehensive paint protection treatment. Ceramic Pro is a nano-ceramic coating that bonds chemically to the paint surface, creating a permanent layer of protection that's harder than the clear coat itself.

Before any coating goes on, the paint has to be perfect. We performed a full paint correction on this Aston Martin — a multi-stage machine polish process that removed light swirl marks, water spots, and minor scratches from the clear coat. Paint correction is non-negotiable before ceramic coating because the coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Any imperfections left in the paint will be preserved forever.

After paint correction, the car was wiped down with a panel wipe solution to remove any polish residue and oils. The Ceramic Pro coating was then applied panel by panel in our climate-controlled shop. The coating requires precise application and leveling before it flashes — the window for working the product is short, which is why experience matters.

Product used: Ceramic Pro 9H (base coat, multiple layers) with Ceramic Pro Light as a top coat. The 9H rating refers to pencil hardness — it's the hardest ceramic coating Ceramic Pro produces. The result is a surface that's hydrophobic, UV-resistant, chemical-resistant, and significantly more scratch-resistant than bare clear coat.

The owner picked up the car 48 hours after drop-off. The gloss depth after coating is noticeably deeper than before — Ceramic Pro enhances the paint's reflectivity in a way that's immediately visible in direct sunlight. Water beads and sheets off the surface completely. The car will maintain this level of protection for 5+ years with proper maintenance washes.
